Set a move date and authority
The property manager, outgoing tenant and incoming tenant may disagree about who can request changes. Record the person who approves each door group, suite, common area, parking credential and intercom directory entry. Schedule changes around lease and construction access.
Inventory rights across platforms
Physical keys, badges, mobile access, visitor codes, remote administrator accounts and camera users may be maintained separately. A disabled badge does not necessarily remove mobile or cloud permissions. Identify offline controllers and rules for temporary contractors.
Test both removal and new access
Select representative outgoing users and verify their rights are withdrawn at intended doors. Issue new permissions by role, then test visitor calling, deliveries, loading and after-hours access. Keep a rollback contact if a change locks out authorized staff or affects an approved egress route.
Close with a tenant-ready record
Give authorized managers a current door matrix, administrator roles, intercom directory, critical camera map, service route and unresolved items. Set a later review for stale accounts and construction credentials. A move is complete only when the operating information matches the people in the space.
Working example: The scenario below is illustrative. It describes a practical design and review method, not a completed customer project or a guaranteed result.
A working scenario
An outgoing tenant returns mobile credentials but remains in the intercom directory and shared garage group.
The decision to make before buying
Reconcile all identity stores and approval owners against the move schedule.
A useful acceptance test
Test revoked users and new roles at representative shared and tenant doors.
What the owner should receive
Keep change authorization, before-and-after rights, test results and exception expiry.
Questions owners ask
Who approves a tenant access change?
The owner or its delegated administrator should define authority in writing for each building and tenant zone. The integrator should not guess from an email forwarding chain.
What is easy to miss at move-out?
Shared parking, visitor PINs, mobile passes, directory listings, camera accounts and offline panels often need separate checks.
Project conditions and responsibilities vary. Confirm the actual scope and test plan with the owner and project team.
