OUR PROCESS / 02

Building System Design & Coordination.

Translate the operational need into coordinated architecture, coverage, interfaces and a supportable scope.

At a glance

  • Define the intended behavior
  • Coordinate the physical layers
  • Check integration boundaries
  • Prepare a usable design package
01

Define the intended behavior

A design should describe what happens when someone presents a credential, a door is forced, a camera loses its view or an alarm activates. It should identify operators, permissions, notification paths and the behavior during power or network loss. Those scenarios guide equipment selection more reliably than a list of product names.

02

Coordinate the physical layers

Device placement depends on sight lines, sound, environmental exposure, door hardware, cable length, available pathways and service access. We work through network ports, power over Ethernet, controller power, rack space, backup power and physical protection with the teams responsible for each layer. Drawings and schedules should correspond to the building that will be installed.

03

Check integration boundaries

When access, video, intrusion, fire or communications systems interact, the design names the interface, data owner, trigger, receiving action and fallback. We review the capabilities of the proposed platforms and the current environment before assuming an integration exists. IT security, licensing and administrator responsibilities become explicit parts of the scope.

04

Prepare a usable design package

Depending on the project, deliverables can include device plans, risers, schedules, equipment lists, test scenarios, allowances and exclusions. Phasing, permit and authority review needs are identified for the applicable work. A design package makes the next approval and installation conversations concrete, and it gives the eventual support team a starting record.

WHAT A CUSTOMER CAN ASK TO SEE

The record from design

A coordinated design package showing intended behavior, dependencies and test scenarios. The exact deliverables depend on the agreed contract scope.

CONNECTED DELIVERY

One Integrator, Every System.

Every stage should connect the customer’s operating need to an installed and supportable result.
