01

Prepare the work area

Installation planning includes access, staging, occupied hours, lift or ladder conditions, power and network outages, other trades and safe egress. A field team checks the approved drawings against the building before creating penetrations or moving devices. Site safety procedures and customer requirements guide the work.

02

Install with serviceability in mind

Workmanship affects the next technician and the next system expansion. Cable pathways, labeling at both ends, rack organization, strain relief and documented terminations make equipment traceable. At controlled openings, the team coordinates readers, hardware, request-to-exit, door position, power and fire interface requirements with the relevant trades.

03

Program and integrate deliberately

Software settings deserve the same discipline as physical installation. We align device names, zones, schedules, roles, event rules, time synchronization and network settings to the approved workflow. Integrations are configured with the customer’s IT and operations owners; credentials and remote access should follow their approved practices.

04

Record the installed condition

As field changes are made, the device inventory and drawing markups need to follow. A build record captures equipment identifiers, cable and panel positions, unresolved conditions and items awaiting test. This provides evidence for commissioning and helps avoid an as-built package that describes only the original plan.

WHAT A CUSTOMER CAN ASK TO SEE

The record from build

An installation record with equipment identifiers, field changes and items awaiting verification. The exact deliverables depend on the agreed contract scope.
